Caversham Coachworks History
Over the last 30 years there have been some phenomenal changes
in vehicle technology around the world. Caversham Coachworks
has continually evolved to keep abreast of these changes, using the most hi-tech equipment and methodology, although the principles of vehicle repair are still very much the same as they were 30 years ago.
1987: Liz and John Adlem 'Seal the Deal' and start their journey to grow 'Berkshire's Leading Independent Vehicle Repairer'.

A late 1980s spray oven and solvent-based paint system. We were one of the first garages to change to water-based paint in 1995.

Liz and John Adlem figure out Caversham Coachwork's first computer and printer.
Old style panel beating when fillers were developing. We now try to use these as little as possible.
Panel and fitting work at its best in the late 80s. Faster 'Miracle Repair Systems' have replaced traditional methods.
1989: Caversham Coachwork's first Recovery Truck.
1993: Caversham Coachwork's first Courtesy Car and the development of a new logo style.
